XV-3080 is a 128-voice synthesizer module featuring versatile and powerful Roland’s architecture. The skillful module, expandable via new 64Mb SRX-Series and SR-JV80-Series boards, provides a musician with Matrix Control feature and a set of studio quality effects. Extensive layering and multitimbral applications are at your disposal. XV-3080 includes sounds from JV-2080 as well as from JD-990 and Super JD and adds more new tones.
The module offers an impressive number of digital effects taking some from SRV-3030, V-Studios, and RSS technology. There’s a stereo playback feature per tone which helps you to enjoy the keyboard split and velocity switches. Get all the nuances from an instrument with the Matrix Control. As well as in JV-2080 there’s a Patch Finder function sorting out your sounds. Plus to those effects derived from Roland’s acclaimed instruments it sports a studio-quality reverb.
The unit is compatible with most of XP/JV-Series patches.
If you don’t manage to purchase XV-3080 considering that it’s no longer in production you might want to consider opting for the XV-5050 64-Voice Synthesizer Module which is based on the similar capabilities.
