The Roland MKS-30 Planet-S is a synthesizer module released by Roland in 1984. It is a rack-mounted version of the Roland Jupiter-8 synthesizer. It features two digitally-controlled oscillators, two envelope generators, two low-frequency oscillators, and a 24 dB/octave low-pass filter. It also has a built-in chorus effect and a portamento function. It is capable of producing a wide range of sounds, from classic analog bass and lead tones to complex evolving pads and soundscapes.
