A-90 is an 88-note PA-4 hammer-action keyboard with aftertouch. It can be turned into the powerful digital piano/synth with the VE-RD1 expansion. The instrument gets a 64-voice polyphony, 128 tones, onboard effects with the VE-RD1.
True stereo piano samples with the VE-RD1 are presented. The connectivity features four MIDI outs for 64 MIDI channels. The architecture is also expandable with VE-JV1 or VE-GS1 voice expansion boards.
The front panel is represented with the bender, pitch wheel, modulation wheel, 20 assignable controllers. The buttons are derived from the JD-800.
The instrument features 64 user patch locations and 64 additional programs are available via M-512E RAM card.
The keyboard offers Roland PA-4 piano quality. VE-RD1 Piano Expansion Board turns the instrument into A-90EX which is actually responsible for the 64-voice polyphony and the number of tones (128).
