DPX1 is a simple sampler module designed to work together with MIDI devices (keyboards, controllers and sequencers).

Samples from a floppy disk (3.5 "or 5") are uploaded onto the built-in memory (1 MB), after which the samples can be used. There is no possibility of editing the source material in DPX1.

The unit support formats of E-mu Emulator II, Sequential Prophet 2000, 2002, 2002+, Ensoniq Mirage DSK8 / DMS8 and Akai S900.

The module can also be used to convert the format.

In the late revision of DPX1 a hard drive with a capacity of 20MB was added.
