S70 XS is an 76-note Balanced Hammer Effect keyboard. The instrument was designed for live performing. To satisfy the requirements of professional music production there were Remote Control and Master Keyboard features included. Motif XS synthesizer gave to S series all its flagship voices, performances and of course Virtual Circuit Modeling effects. 456 MB of samples are available (over 2700 waveforms) and 142 MB of them are represented with the top quality piano sounds including S6 concert grand and Yamaha CFIIIS. The Performance Creator function helps to program user Performances.

The tone generation is based on AWM2 engine with Expanded Articulation. The architecture is 16-part multitimbral and there’s also a possibility of adding a mic input part (the combo input jack accepts mic input). The keyboard features a 128-note polyphony, over 1000 preset voices and 64 drum kits, 128 GM voices and 1 drum kit, 128 x 4 for user voices. The effects section comprises 9 types of reverb, 22 types of chorus, insertion effects, master (9 types), 5-band master EQ, and a 3-band stereo Part EQ. The arpeggio data offers over 6700 preset types and 256 user types.

There’s an Editor included so you could edit your sounds from your computer as well as the Cubase AI which comes bundled and contributes into comprehensive and overall control over settings for your S70 XS.

The keyboard is applicable as a standalone powerful performance instrument and as a master controller. There’s a DAW Remote function giving you 50 various control templates to match your DAW and VSTi.
