street priceThe year of 2014 brought the new Korg’s implementation of MS-20 – MS-20M kit. Designed by the same developers who engineered the original instrument MS-20M is based on the authentic version and features some enhancement. The analog synthesizer module got its synthesis capabilities improved and added CV IN jacks supporting Hz/V and V/Oct.
The synthesis mightiness was boosted: apply the oscillator sync, frequency modulation, pulse width modulation, switch between two filter types, expand sonic possibilities with EG2 Normal Out and check sounds with a Trig SW button.
The comprehensive connectivity allows for interaction with different devices: Hz/V and V/Oct, S-Trig and V-Trig, as well as MIDI In and USB MIDI are supported.
That’s how MS-20M gives you that MS-20 sound offering extended CV capabilities, FM, sync, filter switch and pulse width modulation input. The DIY module is easy to assemble and solid in use. Considering new features integrated the original sounds of MS-20 got the new feel.
Complex overtones can be achieved by synchronizing the phase of VCO1 to the phase of VCO2. Adjust your sound by frequency-modulating the waveform of the VCO2 by the VCO1 in order to get a vibrato effect. Switch between an aggressive and gentle filters.
